Hi there,

Spring is on the way...

Which is probably why the weather has been so atrocious up and down the country in the last couple of weeks. Although, depending on where you live, it's mostly been great for mountain bunnies, wind turbines and ducks.

The Property team has seen it all in the past month. We've all been out on the road discussing the pricing revisions we sent to you all at the end of July. Apologies if you haven't had a follow-up call or visit yet. Rest assured, you have not been forgotten and we will be in touch soon.

Thanks to everyone we've sat down with so far. We appreciate your feedback, support, ideas and vision for your businesses.

Update on our pricing changes

It's been four weeks since we announced the changes to our pricing and it has been good to have heaps of constructive discussions with business owners. As a quick reminder, here is what we introduced:

a new residential for sale subscription option (The Sub)

a revised plan for those keen to stay on a pay per listing option (The Flexi) – and this includes a new $99 price for listings with an RV under $450,000.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

New Zealand's largest property audience

Nielsen's July numbers showed a good increase in our unique audience (up 4.9% on last month). Trade Me Property attracted 554,000 monthly visitors, which is fantastic as we push hard to create more interest in your vendors' listings heading into spring.

We've also been asked about the 'overlap' between Trade Me Property's audience and other portals. The good news is that of the two major real estate portals, 69% of visitors went exclusively to Trade Me Property last month. This means that in July a unique audience of 420,000 visitors had eyes only for Trade Me Property.

Cool things to ask your account manager about

2014 has been a very busy year for us in product development, and there are no signs of this slowing down – a key focus is building things to support agents. The best way to get the low-down on all of this is to have a chat with your account manager.

Some of the latest stuff that is likely to be of interest is numbers: for example, we can now give you an indication of the location of who is searching for property in your region. This should help with the fine-tuning of any marketing you do outside of your region.

We can also pull data that shows the traffic we're driving to your website to highlight how we can help profile your brand to potential sellers and buyers.

Meet our people

With so many exciting things happening in property land, investing in our people is high on our list. We're in growth mode to make sure we don't miss a thing. By having more people on the ground and behind the scenes, we can respond to your needs, deliver on your expectations, and drive great results for your business.

If you haven't had a chance to meet us in person, you can now put a face to the name, along with a bit of back story, in our Agent Information Centre.
