How much should I pay for a home inspector/ building inspector?
The usual rate for a home inspection in Auckland, New Zealand is around $500 give or take. There are a lot of inspectors out there that are starting to charge less to remain competitive in the market place and offer standalone moisture testing and other part inspections.

We don’t recommend having standalone moisture testing as it will not include checks for risk factors or problem areas which could allow moisture ingress.
